Rehearse a scene that changes midstream
Why now: Genie 4’s live edits and audio make a scene-change rehearsal directly relevant, without requiring access to the model.
Prompted by today's lead: AI worlds gain sound and live edits in Genie 4, Google says
What you'll need
- Non-sensitive notes for an imagined scene, including sounds, one requested change and details that must remain unchanged.
Steps
- Choose a scene from a story, game or presentation you are imagining.
- Add one change instruction and identify what must stay unchanged.
- Paste the notes into the prompt and read the resulting scene sequence aloud.
The prompt
Create a text-only rehearsal from these scene notes: [paste your scene notes]. Use plain text with no Markdown formatting. Write under 120 words in exactly three short paragraphs labeled Before, Instruction, and After. Before describes the initial scene, including its sound in words. Instruction states the single requested change. After describes the changed scene and its sound, explicitly preserving every detail marked as unchanged. Use only details supplied in the notes; do not add characters, objects or events.
What you should get
Exactly three labeled paragraphs—Before, Instruction, After—under 120 words, with written sound descriptions, one change, every protected detail preserved and no added scene elements.
Tested example: Tested on sample input
Input
I am imagining a seaside lookout for a tabletop adventure. A wooden bench faces a calm sea beneath a cloudy sky. Small waves make a soft wash against the rocks. The requested change is to make rain begin, adding the sound of drops tapping the bench. Keep the bench, rocks, calm sea and cloudy sky unchanged. There are no people in the scene.
Output
Before: At a seaside lookout, a wooden bench faces a calm sea beneath a cloudy sky. Small waves make a soft wash against the rocks. There are no people. Instruction: Make rain begin, adding the sound of drops tapping the bench. After: Rain begins, with drops tapping the wooden bench alongside the soft wash of small waves against the rocks. The bench remains unchanged, still facing the calm sea. The rocks, calm sea and cloudy sky remain unchanged. There are still no people.
How we tested it: How we checked this: an AI model ran this prompt on the sample input on October 27, 2026, and a separate model call checked the result against what the Move promises.
